Our guide, Max, was amazing. He took us off trail to find points of interest that we would never find on our own. The scenery was wonderful. And Max's depth of knowledge about the park and the natural and cultural history kept us engaged for the entire trip.
It was a long day but the only way to see the park if all you have is a day like we did. Our guide - Creech - was outstanding! So knowledgeable and charming. All the snacks and drinks well thought out and the lunch was delicious. Highly recommend this tour!

You need at least three full days to see the main highlights without rushing. The park covers 2.2 million acres. Driving between locations takes significant time due to low speed limits and wildlife traffic jams.

You do not need a reservation just to enter the park. However, you do need advance reservations if you plan to sleep at any of the 11 campgrounds or park lodges.
